Question 2 "Hello, can you tell me how YAE's Winter Sonata DVD is different from the version that was available a few years ago? And will your DVD have any extras or bonus materials?" ~ Mike
Answer: Dear Mike, Thank you for your email! Our Winter Sonata DVD (released on July 10) is the fully authorized and legitimate version for North America. We worked very hard to get all the proper rights and permissions from the original TV broadcast company. It took us a long time to make it happen, but all the hard work finally paid off. The DVD version that was available a few years ago was actually an "import version" from Korea. It was not fully authorized for sales here in the US. I am so happy to finally release Winter Sonata here in the US for mass distribution. I believe Winter Sonata is the cornerstone in any effort to promote and share the Korean culture outside of Korea. Just like in Japan, China, and South East Asia before, I am so excited that everyday Americans now have the opportunity to experience Winter Sonata and the beautiful Korean culture. To answer the second part of your question, our Winter Sonata DVD will include pretty much the same bonus materials as the past version (59 minutes of Behind the Scenes, Bloopers, Interviews, Cast & Crew Introductions, etc); however, on our version, all those special features will include English subtitles. Yeah! ~ Tom
