If you live outside of Korea and have ever watched and loved a Korean drama, you have Star in My Heart to thank.

Star in My Heart is simply part of our Korean drama heritage. It put K-dramas on the map internationally. It's been dubbed in Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, and even Spanish! It was a huge phenomenon when it debuted in Korea in 1997, to the point where the producers were pressured into changing the ending to appease the hysterical fans.

Starring Korea's favorite sweetheart Choi Jin Shil, bad boy Cha In Pyo, and a yet unknown Ahn Jae Wook, it's a familiar Cinderella-type story, intertwined with unforgettable songs and stylish cinematography. Ahn Jae Wook plays the moody rich boy aspiring to make it as a singer. In the beginning of the drama, his character "sings" (lip-synchs) a song sung by real-life pop star, Cho Jang Hyuk. But as the drama progresses, someone must have noticed that the guy can actually sing, and by the end, Ahn Jae Wook is singing his own songs, catapulting him into both singing and acting superstardom. His single Forever made him into an international pop star overnight, with crazed fans all over Asia and abroad.
