Delicious Proposal: Now on DVD!

Released today on DVD with English subtitles, Delicious Proposal features some of the first performances of a very young all star cast, including the first ever role of actress Son Ye Jin (Alone In Love, Summer Scent). Also staring So Ji Sub (Something Happened in Bali, Glass Slipper) and Soh Yoo Jin (Seoul 1945), as well as a small role from Kwon Sang Woo (Stairway to Heaven)!

Storyline

Hyo-dong's (Jung Joon) restaurant serves the best Chinese food in the area. Built on decades of hard work by his father, the restaurant faces severe hardships when a popular Chinese restaurant chain suspiciously decides to open a new location nearby. In the midst of this showdown, Hyo-dong falls for the charming Hee-ae (Son Ye-Jin), and together they attend the same cooking academy. But when Hyo-dong finds out who Hee-ae's father is, things start to get complicated. Against all odds and amid troubling discoveries about past events, can Hyo-dong save his father's restaurant?

Special : Easy, Make Ahead, Vegan, Vegetarian
Type of Prep : Assemble, No Cook, Refrigerate
Cuisine : Asian, Korean
Occasion : Summer

INGREDIENTS:

• 3 small cucumbers
• 1 tsp crushed chili pepper (kochukaru)
• 1/4 cup cider vinegar
• 1 Tbsp sugar
• 2 Tbsp soy sauce
• 1 Tbsp sesame oil
• 4 cups water
• Ice cubes, for serving
• 2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

PREPARATION:

1. In a large bowl, mix  cucumbers with chili pepper, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
2. Let cucumbers sit in seasoning for 10 minutes.
3. Add water.
4. Chill in fridge.
5. Add sesame seeds and ice cubes before serving.
6. Ladle into individual portions.
